CL Museum to host “Art and Wine Walk,” May 14

This year the fundraising event is an “Art and Wine Walk,” May 14 at the Kerr McGee Center, starting from 4:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m., catered by Pita Fresh. It will be an informal spring evening of friends, conversation, dinner, family games and admiration of art in the form of paintings and rocks, including two collections that were donated to the Museum for a raffle and silent auction.

This “Community Mixer” is intended to bring the “Secret City” of China Lake more broadly into the local community through the China Lake Museum, where the local history and role of the Navy Base and the importance of science and innovation can be appropriately shared and more fully understood.

Reserved tables may be purchased at $600 or more, as well as individual tickets for $40 by stopping by the Museum at 130 East Las Flores or calling (760) 677-2866 with credit card for tickets. A no-host bar will also be available, including non-alcoholic options. Proceeds from this event will be used to support the new Phase 2 Building, solar panels, exhibits, education outreach events, and the operation of the existing Phase 1 Museum.
