On Sunday, May 1, 2022, The Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society will present The Seraph Brass for its seventh and last concert in the 2021-22 season. The concert will include works by Grieg, Mozart, Albeniz, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Liszt, Puccini, Esmail, Dinicu, Monti, McMichael and McKee.

The concert will take place at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church, 633 W. Las Flores Avenue, Ridgecrest, California at 7:30 p.m. Tickets ($30/general, $25/senior, and $5/students and active duty military) are available at Red Rock Books, the Maturango Museum, at the door or on-line. As a brass quintet, The Seraph Brass represents a slight departure from what Ridgecrest audiences have experienced in the recent past, providing a unique opportunity for lovers of beautiful music. Winners of the 2019 American Prize in Chamber Music, Seraph Brass is a dynamic ensemble drawing from a roster of America’s top brass players. Performing primarily as a quintet/sextet, Seraph Brass is committed to engaging audiences with captivating programming. Seraph Brass presents a diverse body of repertoire that includes original transcriptions, newly commissioned works and well-known classics.

Seraph Brass has toured extensively throughout the United States, China, Mexico and Europe. Seraph Brass has performed with such esteemed ensembles as the Chicago Symphony, Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and the San Francisco Symphony among others. Internationally they have performed at the Busan Maru International Music Festival in Korea, Lieksa Brass Week in Finland and the Forum Cultural Guanajuato in Leon, Mexico. Additionally, they were the featured ensemble at the International Women’s Brass Conference. Seraph Brass even performed with Adele on her North American tour. They currently hold positions in the Richmond Symphony, World and European Brass Association, Louisville Orchestra, Artosphere Orchestra, University of North Texas, University of Richmond, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, University of Wisconsin-Madison and Shenandoah Conservatory.
