RRH senior group now meets in-person

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital (RRH)– As COVID transmission continues to decline and restrictions are relaxed, Journey to Happiness senior group is one of the many RRH programs that have begun to offer meeting in person once again. “When you’re limited to virtual interactions, it’s difficult to maintain the level of energy you have face-to-face,” said Darrell Price, facilitator of the group. “But the feeling of getting to see my friends and my peers again, to be able to hug everyone again, has been wonderful. This group is a total juggernaut of love,” he said.

Tera Moorehead, RRH Outreach director added that she is grateful that Price has been able to keep people connected through the pandemic. “Darrell is so good at creating a sense of community. Seeing the excitement in people’s faces as they got to meet again in-person was such a joy.” The Journey to Happiness group is about experiencing joy through any circumstances. “Many of these individuals have lost spouses or friends — this group is family for many of them. It is so fulfilling to see those intimate connections continuing.” For more information call Moorehead at 760-499-3825.
