Assmb. Fong visits Ridgecrest

Assmb. Fong visits RidgecrestAssemblyman Vince Fong spent most of last Friday visiting Ridgecrest.

His first engagement was to speak at the Republican Women’s Federated Luncheon at Casey’s restaurant, giving his message to a house full of people.

He spoke of the failed recall of Gov. Gavin Newsom. He shared the disappointment of the Republican Party. But said we are looking for ways to go forward from here (referencing Republican leadership.) He said, “I have been in public service for a long time, I don’t think remember a time when I have seen so many crises at one time.” He explained that what it basically comes down to is voters and to ensure that public policy is adhered to since it is currently broken down. We have to be a part of that process, Fong said.

He stressed that it is in everyone’s best interest to uphold the Constitution. Everyone must be persuaded to get involved.

Fong gave a similar message that evening to supporters that met at Peter and Debbie Brown’s courtyard for a fundraiser. He was accompanied through out the day by his new field representative, Jessica Janssen.
