Astronomical Society to meet September 13

The China Lake Astronomical Society will meet September 13th at the Maturango Museum,7:30pm.

Current COVID requirements will be enforced. You can also join us on zoom.

1. Jupiter and Saturn are both in the evening sky this month. Look for them in the southeast after sunset.

2. Mars is too close to the sun to be easily visible this month.

3. Venus is still in the evening sky but is getting lower in the sky. look for it in the west soon after sunset.

4. Mercury is also in the evening sky but very low in the western sky. It can be spotted with binoculars until the end of the month.

5. Autumnal equinox occurs on the 22nd.
