Celestial calendar for March

1. Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury are all in the morning sky this month. Look for them all in the east before sunrise.

2. Mars can be seen in the west soon after sunset. This month it passes through Taurus the bull where it will be near the Pleiades

At the start of the month and near Aldebaran around the 22nd.

3. Venus reaches conjunction on the 26th and so will be hard to see all month.

4. The zodiacal light can be seen in the west after sunset this month. It is a cone-shaped pattern of light pointing upwards from the horizon.
