Audubon to meet via Zoom

Audubon to meet via ZoomThe Kerncrest Audubon will host a virtual planning meeting Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. “Because of the pandemic, the meeting will be held via Zoom,” said a spokesperson. Participants must download an app to participate.

Biologists Peter Sanzenbacher and Ray Bransfield from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will present the conservation plan for the California Condor in the Tehachapi Mountains.

The presenters will provide an update on the status of the California condor, a brief review on the legal issues associated with Endangered Species Act permitting, and an overview of the conservation strategy that the Service is working on with wind companies. They will also answer questions.
