Liberty developing critical-care ambulanceLiberty Ambulance, owned and operated by Ridgecrest Regional Hospital, is developing an ambulance that will be staffed to transfer critical patients between hospitals. A spokesperson said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for higher levels of transport emerged as the acuity of patients increased. The hospital is also in the process of purchasing an ambulance equipped with EKG monitors, ventilators, IV pumps and other specialized support.
