Ronald C. PetersonRonald (Ron) Chapman Peterson passed away June 2, 2020, at Kern Regional Hospital in Bakersfield due to complications from a heart attack.

Ron was born Aug. 31, 1936. He grew up and attended school in Chicago, IL. He and his future wife Susan met in 1954 at Drovers National Bank where they both worked. They were married Nov. 15, 1958, and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last November.

Ron was drafted into the army September 1956, serving two years in Germany. Upon his return, he and Susan married and settled down in Chicago until they moved to San Diego in 1963.

Ron worked as a buyer for Procurement and Supply in California and Saipan, Mariana Island USTT until his retirement in 1994.

Ron was an animal lover. He loved his cats Muffin, Sarah, and Sam. He loved music especially “The Three Tenors” and Andre Bocelli.

Ron loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife Susan; children Lynne Tulao and Scott Peterson; son-in-law Robert Tulao; grandchildren Kori (Tim), Jennica, Taylor, Dylan, Chelsea, and Brandon; great-grandchildren Anthony, Kalee, and Audrina; great-great-grandchild Zamora; sister-in-law Eleanor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Vera and Charles Peterson II and brother Charles Richard Peterson III.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at the H.K. Holland Memorial Chapel.
