The Ridgecrest City Council rescheduled this week’s regular meeting to 1 p.m. today at City Hall.

Wednesday’s meeting was interrupted because of recording equipment failure caused by a power outage. Due to COVID-19 measures, members of the public can rely on the online stream in order to participate and call in for comment.

Staff began to move the meeting to a WebEx teleconference format and reschedule the meeting for 6:30 p.m. But by 7 p.m. things were still not fully up and running, and members of the public were having difficulty finding the correct information to log into the meeting.

Council ultimately made the choice to reschedule the meeting for Friday. The new meeting notice is available at ridgecrest-ca.gov/agendacenter. As of Thursday’s Groundwater Authority meeting, the city’s streaming equipment was functioning again.
