Deputies of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Seized 14 illegal computer gambling consoles and more than $5,600 in cash Sunday, April 12, after conducting a follow-up investigation of a suspected internet casino in the 4000 block of West Inyokern Road/State Route 178.

The business, the R/C Cafe, was raided and closed in October of 2018 under similar circumstances, with citations issued to two suspects. The latest bust resulted in a citation to 41-year-old Wared Alfarah for delaying/obstructing an officer. No arrests were made at press time and the matter is still under investigation according to KCSO Public Information Officer Angela Monroe.

Anyone with additional information regarding illegal operations at the establishment is encouraged to contact KCSO at 661-861-3110 or the Secret Witness Line at 661-322-4040 (case number 2020-00054379).
