Larry & Nedra Duysen

Larry Duysen was born Feb. 27, 1940, to Carl Duysen and Ruby Harbes in Fort Riley, Kansas. Larry spent 30 years in the Navy before retiring in 1988 as the Command Master Chief at the Naval Air Weapons Station, China Lake.

Nedra Duysen was born May 12, 1944, to Donald Shoopman and Hattie Tucker in Whitley City, Ky. Nedra worked for the Navy for 35 years before retiring from NAWS China Lake in 1998.

Married in 1987, Nedra and Larry were blessed and shared a beautiful life and family together. They moved to Patuxent River, Md., in 1999 to be closer to their grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren.

Their family mourned the loss of a Larry on Nov. 18, 2019, and Nedra shortly after on Dec. 25, 2019. Their physical presence will be sorely missed; however, their family finds great comfort and peace in knowing that they are resting eternally with our Heavenly Father

Larry and Nedra are survived by their son Tony Andreoli and wife Patty; grandson Zachary Andreoli; and grand-daughter Alyssa (Andreoli) Mitchell, husband Clay Mitchell Jr, and two great-grandchildren, Camden and Harper Mitchell, all of Lexington Park, Md.

Larry and Nedra will be laid to rest in a private service at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
