Two injured in traffic collision

Emergency medical services and law enforcement personnel responded to a traffic collision where two victims were injured Monday afternoon.

According to reports, a silver sedan was rear ended by the driver of a white SUV at the intersection of West Upjohn Avenue and South Sunset Street.

Both occupants of the sedan were transported to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital for their injuries. The driver of the SUV declined medical treatment.

Officers of the Ridgecrest Police Department responded to the scene as well as personnel from the Kern County Fire Department and Liberty Ambulance.
