DCOA presents ‘Christmas in Ridgecrest’ on Dec. 14The Desert Community Orchestra will present its annual holiday concert, “A Christmas in Ridgecrest,” on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. in the Desert Valley Community Complex at Desert Empire Fairgrounds.

DCO, with a special appearance by the High Desert Pipers, will perform works by John Williams, a medley from “Polar Express,” a fanfare by Brian Balmages, Peter Lawson’s “Christmas in Lapland” and other holiday music.

Holly Goodman and the DCO Holiday Singers and the James Monroe Middle School Choir will sing a suite from “It’s A Wonderful Life.”

Maestro Robert Martinez promises a memorable, fun-filled family night full of great entertainment. “This will no doubt be an event to add on your calendar. The orchestra members are excited! There’ll be some beautiful sacred sounds as well as some jolly old melodies you can sing along to. Make your Christmas complete by being with us. This is a concert you absolutely don’t want to miss!”

General admission is $11, with a discounted admission of $9 per student, senior and military. Children seven and younger and military in uniform will be admitted free.

Donations will also be accepted to offset operating expenses.
