Koneta J. King

Koneta J. KingKoneta Joy King died Aug. 26, 2019, at Orange County Hospital from pneumonia at the age of 74.

She was born Aug. 11, 1945, in Beatrice, Neb. She was the daughter of Lyle Austin King and Naomi Darlene Smith.

Koneta worked for the government in both the financial and the security departments.

She was a crafter. She loved to make things and give them away in order to brighten someone’s day. She was involved in her church in many areas. She had a heart for God. She was loving and caring. Her greatest joy was in helping others, sometimes just by listening or giving rides.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Charlene.

She is survived by two sisters, Karen and Kathy; her three children, Todd, Jennifer and Kaleen; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Desert Christian Center. Pastor Darren Smith will officiate. A reception will follow immediately after the service.
