Museum to present ‘Piano and Song’

Museum to present ‘Piano and Song’The Maturango Museum concert series continues Wednesday, Oct. 9, with the “Piano and Song” duo at 7 p.m. in the Coso Gallery.

“If you were fortunate enough to attend their first concert here in May of this year, you know that you will be experiencing a most enjoyable encore performance,” said a spokesperson.

Pianist-composer Steve Lawless and singer-entertainer Dell Yount will perform the music of Broadway and yesteryear. “If one could combine the opera-quality tenor voice of Luciano Pavarotti with the music of Frank Sinatra, then throw in the improvisational humor of Robin Williams, one might come close to the wit and talent of Dell Yount,” said the spokesperson.

The duo will take requests from the audience. “Steve has a vast catalogue music in his head and is rarely stumped. Choose some of your favorite tunes and visit Maturango Museum for a memorable evening.”

General admission is $20, with a reduced price of $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets are at the Maturango Museum store or online, http://shop.maturango.org.

“Join us for an evening of distinctive musical entertainment!”
