Virtuoso violinist to perform hereThe Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society will bring world-renowned violinist Midori to Ridgecrest on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 4 p.m. in the Immanuel Christian School Chapel (201 W. Graaf Ave.).

“From beginning her career as a child prodigy to becoming a venerable master of the violin, Midori has been thrilling audiences around the world for more than three decades,” said an RCMS spokesperson. She will be joined by Lithuanian pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute for a program of sonatas for violin and piano by Brahms, Debussy and Faure.

The access to Midori’s performances has expanded to new audiences through a “Partners in Performance” grant from her foundation, which promotes high-quality performing arts in smaller communities.
