‘No Exit’ opens Saturday

The Ridgecrest Community Theatre Troupe will open “No Exit” by Jean Paul Sartre on Saturday, Aug. 24, at 7:00 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ship 4084.

“‘No Exit’ centers around three damned souls who are brought to the same room in Hell, and locked inside by a mysterious valet,” said a spokesperson.

“They had all expected torture devices to punish them for eternity, but instead they find a plain room. The show explores many themes including love, death, cowardice, self-loathing, subjectivity and more in this dark tale of morality, choice and fate.”

Heather Boster directs the production.

“She makes her RCTT directing debut with an exceptionally talented cast,” con- tinued the spokesperson. “‘No Exit’ will leave you intrigued, shocked and thirsty for more as you delve in deep to discover that ‘Hell is other people.’”

General admission is $10. Tickets are on sale at ridgecrestcommunitytheatretroup.org and at the door. The show is also a fundraiser for VFW, which will receive 20 percent of the proceeds.

Additional performances will be held Sunday, Aug. 25; Saturday, Aug. 31; and Sunday, Sept. 1. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
