Cerro Coso to host welcome

Cerro Coso to host welcomeCerro Coso Community College will host its “CCCC Rocks Your Orientation” event Thursday, Aug. 22, from 3-7 p.m. in the courtyard between the main building and the west wing.

The event is open to the public and will feature food, counseling assistance, student IDs, games, a photo booth, DJ, tours, information, workshops and more. The orientation will also provide an opportunity to meet new faculty and staff.

“Come dressed in your finest rock-star outfit and you could win a prize,” said a spokesperson.

More than 300 students, families and community members attended last year’s event.

“It was a great opportunity to get a real sense of what it is like to attend your local college.”

Online students may begin logging into fall classes as early as Aug. 24, with on-campus classes starting Aug. 26.
