Anthony R. Williams

Anthony R. WilliamsAnthony Ray Williams, known to many as “A-Will,” died suddenly July 20, 2019, in Ridgecrest.

He was born July 21, 1987, to Artis K. Williams Sr. and Sylvia (Lee) Williams in Ventura. His life began in Ridgecrest when he was just three days old.

Anthony attended local schools and graduated from Burroughs High School with the Class of 2006. He loved athletics and was an All-State Running Back as a part of the 2005 Burroughs One Dream, One Team CIF Champion football team. This team made history, as it was Burroughs’ first CIF Championship. After high school he continued his education at Cerro Coso Community College in the welding program and aspired to complete that program this fall.

Anthony was a kind and gentle person. His smile would light up a room, and his laugh was contagious! You could always find him helping someone. He would give you the shirt off his back. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Ridgecrest Elks Lodge. Please bring your favorite dish and/or dessert to share with friends and family. Interment will be Friday, Aug. 30, at 10 a.m. at Desert Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, monetary memorials are appreciated and will be placed in a trust fund to further his son’s education.

The family wishes to thank all who rallied to raise the funds for Anthony’s services. We pray that this tragic loss will encourage all to realize how precious and fragile life is. In Anthony’s words remember the Three Ps — Think Positive, Stay Positive, Positive Outcome!
