James F. Prattini

James F. PrattiniJames F. Prattini, age 35, died in an unfortunate accident on Friday, May 24, 2019, at his home in Ridgecrest.

He was born in New Orleans, La., to Frank and Kathleen Prattini and was the younger of two children. James had active duty for seven years in the U.S. Army and served two tours, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. During his time in the Army, he was awarded several medals and badges.

When he wasn’t in the military, he enjoyed riding his bike, basketball, bowling, shooting and even fishing. He loved playing with his daughters at the park and watching his oldest, Khyla, play softball and seeing his youngest, Arria, excelling in her gymnastics.

He is survived by his parents, Frank and Kathleen Prattini; his sister and brother-in-law Danielle and Rob Park; daughters, Khyla Wilson and Arria Prattini; grandparents, Jim and Lillian Gribble; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

There will be a Celebration of Life, along with a Military Honors Detail on June 29 at 2 p.m. at the VFW in Ridgecrest. Please join us in celebrating our beloved James.
