The Kern County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death of 16-month-old Tayden Lee Rogers as a homicide, according to a June 6 release.

Tayden Lee was reportedly transported to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital in February 2018 when he was found unresponsive at home in the 1500 block of Thorn Street. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

After a postmortem examination, the cause of death was determined to be acute cerebral hypoxia according to the recent release. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.

At press time no arrests had been made.
