El Nino showers continue

El Nino showers continueThe Indian Wells Valley sees unseasonably cool, wet weather for spring. According to China Lake Weather Forecaster Tamera Walters, the cumulative rainfall for the month, so far, is about 1.17 inches — breaking records for at least the last 25 years. “The cooler weather and increased rainfall is due to El Niño, which is bringing the polar jet into the Baja California area, which then brings the low-pressure systems with Canadian air into our area,” said Walters. “Looks like at least one more week of the cooler temps, then late next week it will start warming back up." — Photo by Laura Austin
