Wallace Dean MartinWallace Dean Martin went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 3, surrounded by his wife Betty and daughters Patricia Marshall and Judi Argast.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 11 a.m. at the Christian Fellowship, 83435 Trona Road, Trona.

Wallace was born in Trona, Calif., on Oct. 12, 1941, to Walter and Annabelle (Crandell) Martin. The Martins had four sons — Larry, Wallace and Walt (twins) and James.

After graduating from Trona High School, Wallace attended LIFE Bible College, where he met and married his wife Betty (Torres). They both graduated as ministers of the Foursquare Gospel. Wallace began his 17-year ministry experience in San Luis Obispo, Calif., as a youth pastor.

Wallace had the privilege to minister as a pastor as well, to churches in Modesto, Healdsburg, Crescent City, San Luis Obispo (six more years), Angels Temple in Los Angeles and lastly El Cajon. Wallace spent the last 39 years in the Beaverton and Portland areas in Oregon. He remained an active part of the Foursquare churches.

What Wallace valued most, besides family, were the dear friends he has met throughout his ministry and lifetime. He will be greatly missed.
