Officers of the Ridgecrest Police Department made an arrest last Friday, May 10, when they responded to a reported stabbing in the 1100 block of West Boston Avenue.

According to RPD Sgt. Ryan Marrone, suspected perpetrator Sheena Wallace, 35, and an unnamed female got into an altercation. Wallace reportedly brandished a knife and cut the other woman, who received minor lacerations.

According to police logs, a child did receive a head injury after reportedly being kicked during the reported events. While suspect Sheena Wallace faces a felony charge of willful cruelty to a child (PC 273A) according to court records, RPD authorities reported that Wallace's involvement in the aforementioned injury is unclear.

Wallace was booked on multiple felony charges of battery with serious bodily injury, threatening with intent to terrorize, first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and willful cruelty to a child.

Her felony arraignment was Tuesday morning, and a pre-preliminary hearing, bail review and status conference are scheduled for May 21, 10:30 a.m. in Ridgecrest. Her bail is set at $155,000.
