Auditions for Fourth of July pageant will be May 2 and 9

Organizers of “Our Country ’Tis of Thee,” a musical pageant of the history of America, are seeking children to participate in the annual community production. The pageant will be performed the morning of Thursday, July 4.

“The children wear costumes, sing, dance and have speaking parts in this hour-long program,” said Penny Belt.

Signups will be held during the first two rehearsals on Thursdays, May 2 and 9, from 4-5 p.m. at the LDS meeting house, 501 N. Norma St. During the meeting parents will have an opportunity to ask questions, see the schedule and sign up to help.

Children age 5 (who have completed one year of school) and up to age 12 are eligible to participate. The production is also seeking adult volunteers.

Rehearsals continue Thursdays in May at the same time. During the month of June , rehearsals will be held Monday through Thursday from 9-10 a.m. The final dress rehearsal will be held the morning of July 3.
