Elizabeth Jane ‘Bette’ FoxElizabeth Jane “Bette” Davis Fox was born May 15, 1922, and passed away April 14, 2019, in Thousand Palms. She was the last remaining sibling born to William Davis and Tiene Jensen Davis in San Francisco.

Bette grew up and went to school in San Francisco; she attended Lux Junior College and San Francisco State College.

She met her husband Lawrence “Larry” Fox in the Ridgecrest area. They were married in the First Baptist Church of San Francisco. They raised their three children (David, Gary, and John) in Ridgecrest, and Bette was a Den Mother in Cub Scouts.

Her retirement years were spent traveling the world with Larry. They went on many road trips and cruises and documented their journeys for their future grandchildren and great-grandchildren to enjoy. In 2001 they moved to the Palm Springs area to be closer to their son David and his family.

She was married to Larry for 67 years before he passed away in 2012. In the last seven years they spent apart, she was cared for by her granddaughter Amanda Fox. Bette passed away at 96 years old surrounded by loved ones.
