“The fun is in the selecting, performing and listening to this music,” said a spokesperson.

Performing musicians are Glenda Blackshaw (piano), Clayton Burns (viola), Bradley Douglas (French horn), Catherine Douglas (piano), Joanne Freeman (flute), Gary Fry (clarinet), Sylvia Hillesland (oboe), David Hodgson (baritone), Ellie King (violin), Melanie Litton (piano), Melanie McDonald (piano), Amber Petersen (mezzo soprano), Fran Rogers (cello), Anna Schaad Montgomery (violin), Debra Veit (flute) and Kimmberley Washburn (clarinet).

HDMTA is an organization of private music teachers in the Indian Wells Valley that each year sponsors concerts and recitals, both solo and ensemble, throughout the year for members’ students.

This annual concert at the museum is for the teachers to perform for the community.

Organizers suggest getting tickets early since this concert usually sells out. Tickets ($20, $5 for children 12 and younger) are available in the museum store or online, www.maturango.org.
