The city of Ridgecrest will hold its annual tree-lighting ceremony, along with a variety of holiday-themed activities, tonight, Nov. 30, at City Hall.

Festivities begin with a Winter Festival hosted by the Youth Advisory Committee. From 3:30-5 p.m., members will offer activities to the community, including arts, crafts and a bake sale.

At 4 p.m., the city’s Parks and Recreation Department will host a candy-cane hunt for youth ages 2-11.

The tree-lighting ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Immediately following the tree lighting, Snow Orthodontics will sponsor the Freedom Park Family Movie Night, featuring “The Star.” The movie will be projected on an inflatable outdoor movie screen. Community residents are invited to attend free of charge, but are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for seating.
