Nancy Wilhelm

Nancy Wilhelm (Elkins, Harrison), chose to be with the Lord on April 25, 2018.

Her memorial service is on Nov. 18, 2 p.m. at Ridgecrest United Methodist Church, 639 N. Norma St.

She was born to Bill and Ethel Elkins in San Diego in 1939 and moved to Ridgecrest at age 12. She graduated from Burroughs High School in 1957 and married Wayne Harrison. They had four children. After some time on the East Coast and in Georgia, the family moved to Ridgecrest where she and Wayne operated the Bamboo Club for a couple of years. She was later married to Bobbie Wilhelm, who preceded her in death, for more than 25 years. They lived in Inyokern and had a cabin in Oregon.

Nancy was an avid crafter and painter, winning many Desert Empire Fair ribbons over the years. She painted nearly 100 canvasses and loved gardening and dragonflies. She was instrumental in planning many Burroughs reunions and enjoyed helping people get together each year.

Nancy, Mom, Gramma, Nana leaves a legacy of four children (Ron, Janet, Steve, Valerie), one stepson (Robbie), two daughters-in-law (Kim and Mary), eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
