Nancy Swallow

Nancy SwallowNancy Anne “Fancy” Swallow was born on Jan. 9, 1949, in New York, N.Y., and lived in Bakersfield at the time she was called to heaven to be with the love of her life, Robert E. Swallow, Oct. 6, 2018.

Nancy was originally from Ridgecrest, where she and Bob made their home and raised their blended family together. They had established careers and enjoyed participating in Alcoholics Anonymous and Families Anonymous meetings, many of which they hosted in their private home. She was in her highest glory when giving to and helping others.

Nancy passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side. She was adored by all who met her. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Swallow. She is survived by her son Ricci C. Gretona (Megan); her daughter Shelley Siemens (Paul Trent); stepson Alan Swallow (Marilyn); stepdaughter Rhonda Clapp (Roger), grandsons Nathan P. Kunde, Chad R. Siemens, Hayden E. Gretona, Michael Swallow and granddaughters Noelann I. Gretona, Hannah Jane C. Gretona , Nicole Kelly (Mike) and Kathleen Coleman (Mike), three great-grandchildren and four siblings, Geoffrey, Susan, Patricia, Gina and many nieces and nephews along with a multitude of close family friends that adored and loved her.
