Donna D’Anza

Donna D’AnzaDonna Maxine Holt D’Anza, 81, of Ridgecrest, passed away peacefully on Oct. 5, 2018.

Donna lived in Ridgecrest for more than 50 years. She retired in 1998 as a budget analyst after more than 20 years of civil service at the Naval Air Weapons Station.

Donna was a longstanding member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ridgecrest. She was also a member of the Republican Women’s Club, WACOM and Beta Sigma Phi. Donna volunteered for the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, and was the Care Committee Chairman of her church for many years.

She is survived by her two children, Lori Ann D’Anza Courtney and husband Bruce, of San Diego, and David Alan D’Anza, of Bakersfield; grandchildren Wesley Courtney, Daniel Courtney and Brandon Courtney, all of San Diego; nieces Kathy Reagor, and husband Danny, and Karen Krueger, both of Massac County, Ill.;, sister-in-law Jane Holt, of Vienna, Ill., and sister-in-law Geri Holt, of Metropolis, Ill.; cousin Nancy Cummins and significant other Peter, of San Diego; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Daniel Paul D’Anza, the father of her children; her parents Charles and Helen Cummins Holt; brothers, James Monroe Holt and Amos Eugene Holt; sister, Ruth Mae Holt Riley, and a brother-in-law, James Howard Riley.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Oct. 13, at Desert Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made in Donna’s name to the American Cancer Society or Grace Lutheran Church, 502 N. Norma St., Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
