Maturango Museum raises $25K at auction

Maturango Museum raises $25K at auctionAttendees at the Maturango Museum’s annual fund-raising dinner and auction examine the items up for bid. According to Debbie Benson, executive director of the museum, the event drew 150 people, “which is basically the maximum number of tickets we can sell.” The auction and other events raised about $25,000. “Because the event was basically paid for by our sponsors, everything we raised was profit.” She credited the success of the event in part to master of ceremonies Eric Bruen. “He really did a great job.” — Photo by Laura Austin
