RRH foundation raises $32K at ’Roaring ’20s’ gala

RRH foundation raises $32K at ’Roaring ’20s’ galaRidgecrest Regional Hospital CEO Jim Suver, flanked by Peter and Debbie Brown, channel the style of the Roaring ’20s at the annual gala fundraiser for the RRH Development Foundation on Saturday evening. According to Development Foundation Director Kim Metcalf, who also served as the event coordinator, the guests helped raise more than $32,000 toward the cost of a new Hospice House. Metcalf said that in addition to putting the foundation closer to its $300,000 goal, she was excited to meet one of the other goals she set for herself as new director — drawing in a broader section of the community for foundation support. “We had a very eclectic group of people this year, and I was very happy to see how many people got involved. I hope we have the same amazing turnout next year!” She said that the attendees seemed to have a great time “and raised money for a great cause!” — Photo by Jayde Glenn
