Find out ‘What Happens at Sundown’

Find out ‘What Happens at Sundown’“What Happens at Sundown” opens next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21-22, at 7:30 p.m. at the Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church.

“Welcome back to Hollywood!” said writer-director Daniel Stallings, who is bringing the newest chapter in the Tinseltown Saga to local audiences with the 20th offering from Master Mystery Productions.

Stallings said the story draws inspiration from the Twilight Zone and What Ever Happened to Baby Jane. “The year is 1963, and a Hollywood crew has descended upon the Mojave Desert to shoot an episode of the popular television show, ‘Sundown.’”

Two legendary, Oscar-crowned actresses of a bygone era are trying to make their comebacks on this program, “but it all might be derailed by the shocking murder of a cameraman and the dangerous secrets everyone is hiding.”

This latest interactive murder mystery, staged in conjunction with the Ridge Writers’ Weird Weekend 2018, offers audiences an opportunity to enjoy the performance and help solve the crime.

Cast members Monica Lorenz, Leslie Blake, Rebecca Witherell, Daniel Stallings, Cat Kreidt, Matthew Bradford and Amber Stull, will help the audience explore the fading studio system, the rise of television, and the last threads of the Golden Age of Cinema.

Stallings said the production will feature “exquisite, glamorous costumes, talented performers, and a one-of-a-kind story.”

Tickets are available at Red Rock Books for $20 each. “Come dressed in your Hollywood finest and join us for a glamorous evening of secrets and surprises!” invited Stallings.
