Blood bank to return Wednesday

Blood bank to return Wednesday“Every two seconds, someone needs blood in the USA — blood that can only come from volunteer donors who make the choice to save lives,” said a Houchin Blood Bank spokesperson.

“There is no substitute for blood.”

The next blood drive will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15, from noon to 6 p.m. at the Kerr McGee Center.

Houchin officials note that the population of the Indian Wells Valley typically outperforms the national average of citizens who choose to “give the gift of life.”

Appoingments can be made by calling Joy at 661-847-8234. Donors can also sign up at the donor portal at connect.hcbb.com, or even show on on the day of the drive to donate.

“Let’s save lives together. People live when people give!”
