Terry M. Driver

Terry M. DriverTerry M. Driver passed away recently at his Ridgecrest home.

Terry was born May 12, 1949, and moved to Ridgecrest when he was a month old. Terry graduated from Burroughs High School in 1968. He joined the Marines in 1969 and served in Vietnam 1971-1972. He was honorably discharged in 1974, having achieved the rank of sergeant. Terry retired from civil service in 2005 after nearly 40 years.

He was a member of the VFW, the Historical Society of the Upper Mojave Desert, the Moose Lodge, the Eagles, the Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the China Lake Museum.

Terry is survived by his son Quannah and wife Mary Ann, grandson Caleb, sisters Rose Davis (Ken) and Terri Schorr (Bill), and his brother Giles Driver (Lisa). Also surviving him are nieces Rhonda, Shawna and Katilyn, nephews Mark and Nick; great-nieces Alexxis, Rose and Lili; and great-nephews Dylan and Jake.

Terry loved the desert and spent many hours hiking camping, fishing and exploring. Terry was beloved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed, especially for his sense of humor

Services will be held at the H.K. Holland Memorial Chapel Tuesday, July 24, at 10 a.m. A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion at 11:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VFW.
