College to offer classes in human services

Cerro Coso Community College will offer the following courses this fall that can lead to a certificate in human services:

HMSV C101 Introduction to Human Services — Melissa Bowen will instruct this 3-unit course on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10:30 a.m. The course will introduce students to the human services professions and their role in helping people to cope with the problem of living. Topics also address competence, professionalism and legal and ethical issues in human services.

The college will also offer HMSV C104 Field Work Human Services with Bowen on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:35-4:40 p.m. HMSV C116 Case Management will also meet from 2-3:25 p.m. on campus this fall.
