Ridgecrest Cinemas throwback series continues through Aug. 17

Catch classic movies this summerFans of classic cinema have the chance to see blockbusters of yesteryear, from 1965’s “Sound of Music” to 1995’s “Jumanji” this summer at the Ridgecrest Cinemas.

Our local theater is hosting these classic specials through mid August. There are movies for all ages and tickets are only $3 al day.

This week, locals can catch the celebrated 1969 outlaw flick “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” starring Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Showtimes are 1:20, 4:30 and 8:30 through Friday, July 6.

Following Butch Cassidy will be “Sound of Music” from July 7-13, “Sixteen Candles” (1984) from July 14-20, “Jumanji” from July 21-27, “Back to the Future” from July 28-Aug. 3, “Grease” (1978) from Aug. 4-10 and “Top Gun” (1986) from Aug. 11-17.
