During a multiagency post release community Ssupervision check on June 2 (see related story, this issue), detectives of the Ridgecrest Police Department discovered items and equipment “similar to those possessed at Sydney Peak Stone quarry” in the apartment of Jeramy Noennich, 34, and Blaine Cox, 28, in the 1000 block of West Perdew Ave.

According to an RPD release, officers contacted T.J. Jaworsky of Sydney Peak, who confirmed that Noennich, Cox and suspected accomplice Timothy Williams, 40, had all worked for the business before.

Detectives Patrick Harlow and Eric Clinton with Officers Ricardo Garibay and John Bartlett returned to the residence on June 5 to conduct a search, where they discovered Noennich and Cox loading the suspected stolen property in a vehicle. The suspects said they were returning the property to Jaworsky.

The search resulted in $19,000 in stolen and lost property including gloves, drills, a truck strap, polisher and pads, grinders, blades, reciprocating saws, buffing pads, shrink wrap, bottles, a chisel, lubricants and damaged stone.

Noennich and Cox were arrested and booked in the Bakersfield Central Receiving Facility for grand theft and possession of stolen property. Williams is still outstanding for the same charges. Anyone with pertinent information is asked to contact the RPD, 760-499-5100.
