Lions Club to host charity Bingo game

The Ridgecrest Lions Club will host a charity Bingo game April 14 at the Kerr McGee Center.

“You don’t have to be a bingo expert,” said chair Steven Morgan, “We play at the speed of the slowest player.

“We want people to come out, have fun, and maybe walk out with some extra cash or a door prize.”

Early-Bird Bingo ($5 per game) starts at 10 a.m., with Jackpot Bingo at 11 a.m.

The cost for presale Jackpot Bingo tickets is $35 for 20 games and a chance for $200 per game (175 player minimum). Extra 20-game packs will be on sale at the door for $15 per pack. Jackpot Bingo tickets purchased at the door will be $40 each.

Participants must purchase the Jackpot Bingo pack to be eligible for Early-Bird Bingo.

The Double Action blackout will be played three times for a payout of up to $250 each time. “There are two numbers per space on each card, and either one of the numbers is all you need to cover,” said Morgan.

Doors open at 9 a.m. for the event.

Food will be on sale, while coffee and popcorn will be available for free all day.

Door prizes being collected for the event include stays in Laughlin, jewelry, Indian Wells Brewery beer and soda and more.

“My hope is that businesses will consider purchasing Bingo tickets and give them out as gifts to their employees,” said Morgan.

Presale tickets are available at the Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce office, Kerr McGee Center, Toboco Traders (now at 970 N. Norma St.) and S&M Coins and Collectables.

The fundraiser will benefit Lions programs, including eye exams and glasses, supporting youth activities and scholarships.
