Rudolph Jean Pappas

Rudolph Jean Pappas was born on Nov. 30, 1925, in Tehachapi to George and Consuelo Pappas. He passed away March 22, 2018, in Ridgecrest at the age of 92.

Services will be held Saturday, April 7, at 2 p.m. at the H.K. Holland Memorial Chapel, located at 216 S. Norma St., Ridgecrest.

Rudy served in the Army Air Corps as an airplane crew chief from 1943 to 1946. He worked for Southern California Edison for 37 years as a service crew foreman/lineman, and continued working after retirement as an electrical contractor in his own business, Pappas Electric.

Rudy was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie, and brothers Mike and Bill Pappas. He is survived by sons Rudy Pappas Jr. of Big Pine and Mike Pappas (Lorie) of Ridgecrest; daughters Glenna Tracy of Balboa Island and Vicki Ayers of Ridgecrest; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers Pete Pappas of Lake Isabella and John Pappas of Santa Ynez; and sisters Mary Watts of Ridgecrest, Linda Golyer of Lancaster and Alice Milton of Washington state.
