Upon graduating from Burroughs High School, these two women, as students at Cerro Coso Community College, became part of the museum’s internship program. Under the guidance of Alexander Rogers, one of the museum’s curators, these women say they gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and practical application. Both women received their bachelor’s of anthropology from UC Santa Cruz, and continue as curation assistants for the Maturango Museum. — Courtesy photo
