Outlook conference is Feb. 22

The Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce announced that the annual Indian Wells Valley Economic Outlook Conference will be held Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Kerr McGee Center.

Each year stakeholders gather to learn about the challenges and opportunities facing various agencies and organizations in the region.

This year’s event celebrates our innovative community and will feature a keynote address from Robert Kleinhenz, an economist and executive director of research at Beacon Economics.

China Lake leaders, including Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division Commander Rear Adm. Brian Corey, NAWC-WD Executive Director Joan Johnson and Naval Air Weapons Station Commanding Officer Capt. Paul Dale will give updates on what’s happening on base.

Other speakers include Ridgecrest Regional Hospital CEO Jim Suver, Mojave Air & Space Port CEO Karina Drees and IWV Economic Development Corp. Executive Director Scott O’Neil.

The conference will also include live and video greetings from local, state and elected officials, as well as opportunities for networking.

Doors open at 7 a.m. for a business expo. The program begins at 8 a.m., and lasts until 12:30 p.m.

Tickets to the conference are $44 for the general public and $40 for chamber members.
