Children’s Hour to feature mountain animals

Children’s Hour  to feature  mountain animals“Our Mountain Animal Neighbors” is the topic of the next Children’s Hour, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Maturango Museum.

“The children will be introduced to many of the animals that live in the Sierra Nevada,” said a spokesperson.

“Through stories and songs, helped along by puppets and docents, there will be visits from chipmunks, raccoons, bobcats, bears and even a few skunks! A salamander may slip in there, too.

“Another listening and visual special experience, ‘The Blackberry Banquet’ written by local author Terry Pierce, is certain to be enjoyed by all.”
