Children’s Hour to feature ‘Snow Tree’

Children’s Hour to feature ‘Snow Tree’The Maturango Museum’s next Children’s Hour will be held Friday, Dec. 15, at 10:30 a.m.

The program will feature a favorite holiday children’s story, “The Snow Tree,” by Carolyn Repchuk.

“This story of friendship, sharing and appreciation of nature’s beauty will culminate in a special tree-decorating activity through which the children can relive the story,” said a spokesperson.

“The morning promises plenty of other wiggle and response opportunities by the youngsters, particularly following the story ‘Snow Dance’ by Lezlie Evans. Songs, crafts and exhibits from the docent collection will round out this annual favorite event.”

Children’s Hour is a free monthly program during the school year for young children and their families. It is offered by docent volunteers of the Maturango Museum to educate, entertain and instill a love of the desert environment in which the children live.

The spring schedule of programs will be posted at
