To the Editor: Chamber society thanks WACOM

A few weeks ago the Ridgecrest Chamber Music Society was one of the recipients of outreach funds distributed by the Women’s Auxiliary to the Commissioned Officers’ Mess to local nonprofit organizations. We appreciate WACOM’s generous support of our organization and the many other local nonprofit organizations in the Indian Wells Valley. The statistics on WACOM’s present and past giving and the volunteer hours involved to raise the funds are staggering.

WACOM’s support this year enables RCMS to maintain the Youth Music Fund, which supports the in-school music programs presented by the outstanding professional chamber music groups that perform in the RCMS concert series. So far this 2017-2018 concert season, three of five sets of in-school programs have been presented to a total of 856 students in grades K-12 and 34 teachers in six schools, both public and private, plus the home schooled in the Indian Wells Valley.

Thanks again, WACOM.
