Annual Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving Day

Annual Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving DayOver the Hill Track Club officials issue their annual reminder to the public to start Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, with a calorie deficit by participating in the Turkey Trot 5K race — which typically attracts hundreds of runners and walkers each year.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the parking lot near the Cerro Coso Community College gymnasium. The race begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. Top male and female finishers will receive the infamous rubber chicken awards. Although there is no racing fee, a $5 donation is recommended to offset costs.
