Parole sweep yeilds 22 arrests

The Ridgecrest Police Department and partner agencies conducted a probation sweep earlier this month in Ridgecrest and surrounding areas. The primary goal of the compliance check was to deter criminal activity in the Indian Wells Valley, and check on people who are on active parole, probation or in the Post Release Community Supervision program.

Roughly 35 law-enforcement officers arrested 22 suspects for various alleged violations, according to RPD news release. Officers seized 13 firearms, four of which were confirmed stolen, 42.6 grams of methamphetamine, two grams of heroin, several glass pipes and hypodermic needles and an expandable baton.

The following were arrested on the listed allegations: Jessica Lish on a no bail misdemeanor warrant, Heather Height on a misdemeanor warrant, Camiesha Pruitt for possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia, Ricky Dean Harris for possession of paraphernalia and Mandatory Supervision Violation, Stephanie Shelton for being felon in possession of gun, felon in possession of ammunition, possession of controlled substance for sales, possession of controlled substance narcotic, and possession of paraphernalia, Michael Thompson for being felon in possession of gun, felon in possession of ammunition, being in possession of controlled substance for sales, and possession of paraphernalia, Jonathan Stanley-Ratto for a Post Release Community Supervision violation, Donald Tyler was arrested on a parole hold, Valerie Presta for possession of controlled substance, Jaime Perez for being a felon in possession of gun, and being a felon in possession of ammunition, Andrew Hildebrand for violation of probation, Robert Kane was arrested on misdemeanor warrants, Ronald Rickets for possession of paraphernalia, Kaliegh Thomas for possession of controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and for a parole hold, Elijah Barragan for probation violation, Leland Stevens for being a felon in possession of ammunition, possession of controlled substance, possession of prohibited weapon and for a probation violation, Christina Stephens was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant, Jared Kuppens for possession of paraphernalia and probation violation, Michelle Bright for resisting/obstructing/delaying peace officer, and possession of paraphernalia, Jacob Talley for possession of paraphernalia, Scott Noyes for possession of paraphernalia and Kelly Saulque for being a felon in possession of tear gas and on a misdemeanor warrant.

The operation involved teams from the Ridgecrest Police Department, Kern County Probation Department, Taft Police Department, California State Parole, McFarland Police Department and Delano Police Department. The Ridgecrest Police Department’s Community Service Officer and Dispatch assisted in this event.
