Rosie Butler

Rosie ButlerRose Marie Butler passed quietly in her sleep Feb. 17, 2017, after her battle with glioblastoma brain tumor and is now home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her husband, Doug.

Born July 3, 1937, Rosie overcame a lot of challenges in her life. She was married to Doug Butler Sr. for 56 years, had 3 children and 1 step child that she raised and treated as her own. She had a career and ownership in Desert Motors Ford Dealership for 30 years, then went on to get her Realtors license, volunteered and was president of Altrusa for many years, until retiring to the mountains at Crowley Lake. She was an avid volunteer for elections and worked for the court district in Mammoth Lakes.

Rosie was quite the hostess and no matter if you were stranger or without family, she always made you feel like you were home and family.

We’d love for you to celebrate Rosie’s life Monday, July 3, at 11 a.m. at Church on the Mountain in Crowley Lake. We’ll do light sandwich food. If you would like to bring things to compliment, that would be great!

Rosie is survived by Doug Butler Jr., Janet and Ken Presley, Michele and Michael Bruce, Mark and Teresa Butler. Grandkids Katie and Tanner Presley, Mason and MacKenzie Kaufman, 3 step grandkids and 7 step great grandkids.
